The company behind WonUp
WonUp is developed and operated by SACLIC STUDIO, a French simplified joint-stock company (SAS) registered in Paris.
As a company established in the European Union, SACLIC STUDIO is subject to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) — Regulation (EU) 2016/679. SACLIC STUDIO acts as the data controller for all personal data processed through WonUp.
Data collected
What we collect and why
WonUp is designed to be lightweight on data. We only collect what is strictly necessary to deliver the app experience and improve it over time.

How we use your data
Legal bases and purposes
Under GDPR, we rely on the following legal bases to process your data:
- Contract performance (Art. 6.1.b) — to deliver the alarm and mission features you've subscribed to
- Legitimate interests (Art. 6.1.f) — to improve app performance, fix bugs, and understand how features are used
- Legal obligation (Art. 6.1.c) — to comply with applicable laws including consumer protection and tax regulations
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you.

Who else sees your data
We work with a small set of carefully selected service providers. All are bound by data processing agreements and comply with GDPR.

We never sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties for commercial purposes.
Data transfers to the United States are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission.
Data retention
How long we keep your data
- App usage data — retained for 12 months, then anonymized or deleted
- Crash and diagnostic data — retained for 90 days
- Purchase and subscription records — retained for 5 years to comply with French accounting law (Code de commerce)
- Mission photos — never stored on our servers; processed locally and discarded after mission verification
When you delete the WonUp app, your local data is removed from your device. Any server-side data is deleted or anonymized within 30 days of account deletion request.
Your rights
GDPR rights you can exercise at any time
As a user in the European Union (or anywhere in the world), you have the following rights over your data:
- Right of access (Art. 15) — request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Right to rectification (Art. 16) — correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Right to erasure (Art. 17) — ask us to delete your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Right to restriction (Art. 18) — limit how we use your data in certain circumstances
- Right to portability (Art. 20) — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
- Right to object (Art. 21) — object to processing based on legitimate interests
- Right to withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time without affecting prior processing
Children
Age requirements
WonUp is rated 4+ on the App Store, but is designed for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal data to WonUp, please contact us at contact@saclicstudio.com and we will delete the relevant data promptly.
Security
How we protect your data
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These include:
- Encryption in transit (TLS) for all data sent to our servers
- Access controls limiting data access to authorized personnel only
- Regular security reviews of our infrastructure and code
- Local-only processing for sensitive data such as mission photos
No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. If you discover a security vulnerability, please report it responsibly to contact@saclicstudio.com.
Changes
Policy updates
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify you via an in-app message.
Your continued use of WonUp after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
